Danielle Terrell

Current student of North State Independence H.S.

Danielle Terrell is a dedicated and energetic student!   She takes on academic and social challenges with great vigor and commitment. Recently, Danielle was honored by being included in a new literary compendium entitled Timeless Voices published by the International Library of Poetry.  Her poem, “Unwanted”, is written with great sensitivity and compassion.
 
Danielle is a key participant in Student Government and Year Book, as well as volunteering time at Haven Humane. She is a wonderful addition to the NSIHS student body.
 

Unwanted

I've had a song, a beautiful song
But I got no one to sing to
You never even dared to listen
It just faded in the air in vain

I've got a rose, a fresh red rose
But I got no one to give to
You never even cared to look
The rose just withered and broke

I've had my dreams, splendid dreams
But you wouldn't want to be with
You never ever wanted to know
My dreams just faded before they came true

I have loved so deeply in love
A feeling that I've never been
Yet in my patience of hoping
You never gave the same

Then I have had my life with the thought
Everything I laid but you never live with it
I've waited, I died, and I realized
Still I found myself unwanted
